Our Commitment Is To Bring Oceanview And Its Missions Into Our Community.
But... None Of This Could Have Happened Without The Generosity Of Some WONDERFUL People!
Considering our growth (and the salt air!), keeping our facility in excellent condition is a constant challenge financially. Many times we are faced with the financial choice of expanding a ministry or facility maintenance, and facility items are left undone.
This year, because of the generosity of our community we have been able to make the following repairs:
-
Install a new fire alarm system
-
Repair and re-surface parking lot with repainted stops and lines.
-
Install new sinks in the narthex baths.
Our commitment is never to sacrifice mission outreach with facility burdens, but as stewards of God's funds, to simply show you our needs, and ask for help.
Our air conditioner in the Fellowship Hall is badly in need of replacement. It is a two piece system with the condenser located outside and the air handler blower in the attic. The outside unit is well beyond repair. The inside unit in the attic can be repaired, but will need substantial work preformed at the same time as the outside is replaced. Our AC company has given us a price of $9800 to replace the outside condenser and rebuild the air handler in the attic. We will not do this until the funds are available and need your help to accomplish this.
We need to rebuild our chancel with fireproof wood and new floor covering. This will cost about $5000. We need to install a new fence on the west side of our parking area. We have been able to secure a very good bid because of the slow season, but still will require about $2400 to do the job. Please help with this one before someone gets hurt.
As you might imagine, this is only fraction of our facility needs for which we need your help. There are several other less expensive things we need to do such as pressure clean all of the walk areas, computer replacement, plumbing repairs, etc. Any help you can offer on these maintenance items would be greatly appreciated and will keep us be able to adequately fund our missions.
On behalf of the Operations committee, thank you for helping us become better stewards of God's funds. If you have any comments or would like to help, please contact our office at 561-626-2500 and speak to Rev. Brette Sanford, or feel free to ask for anyone on the Operations Committee. We will return your call promptly and answer any questions you may have. Or, just CLICK HERE to launch your email editor to email us your question. |
